Professional athletes are often assumed to behave poorly in their personal lives. Since they have the tendency to become pop icons they often get away with unacceptable behavior. Does the reality match the image? This course will explore athletics and service from the points of view of athletes doing community service by force to save their public personas, the positive impact of authentic service through athletics and the value of service as a marketing tool.

Does the use of supplements help or hurt the sport its used in? where do the althletes get them?does the trainer provide or give them to the athletes? and does the coaches cover up the use of the supplements or do they try and stop the use of them on their teams? what percentage of athletes on a team use them?
"How does a a school fund so many scholarships? Do they get the money from endorsements? Do alumni personally fund an athlete? What do they look for in an athlete, would they rather a super star or a positive captain type player. How many of your players would have gotten into the school on their own if it was not for their athletic ability, also what is the avg. GPA SAT a player needs?
What is the main method of college recruiting? Who exaactly does it, who approves it, and how long does the process take?
Do supplements improve an athletes performance or not, and how are these supplements monitored?
How are college athlete effected by supplement abbuse? What are some of the long term affects?
How are supplements monitored in college sports? Do you find that college athletes find it nessecary to use supplements now, to go that extra mile?
How does each select college decide what program recieves the most money and where does the money come from? Do the coaches make the decision? Alumni?
How does the university/college decide how mcuh money goes to what sport?
What Do I Already Know?
The amount of money given to a sport by the university/college needs to be based on what needs to be replaced.
What Do I Want To Know/Learn?
Are coaches/players always asking for new equipm,ent every year or are they usually content with the materials they already have?
How Do coaches handle issues with players if they misunderstand a play or get in trouble? Is each player handled differently.
How do schools and teams go about educating their athletes about the awarness and complications of sport psychology?
If teams are spending ther money on recruiting players and other expenses, where does all the money they fund come from besedes ticket sales and propaganda.
